The Business Data Analyst supports bank’s strategic and operational goals by transforming raw data into actionable insights. This role works closely with product managers, business lines managers and customer‑facing teams to ensure data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to understand the analytical needs and translate them into the appropriate data solutions: dashboards, reports, specific KPI’s, targeted analytical projects.
• Proactively suggests updates to the final data products to better support the decision making.
• Partner with Data Engineering team to implement the required data flows that will feed the analytical process.
• In collaboration with the BI team, construct the actual dashboards and reports that will be used to track the relevant KPIs.
• Independently execute parts of the analytical process and collaborate with the relevant technical and business experts (where required) to make sure all the analytical objectives are met.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency throughout the data analysis process.
• Identify relevant trends/variations and deep dive to understand their root cause.
• Add value to the analysis by formulating business-relevant conclusions.
• Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise and actionable manner.
• Adhere to internal data governance and data security policies.
• Contribute to data model improvements and system enhancements that will drive efficiency and timeliness of data processing and analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Strong business acumen relevant for banking sector.
• Solid experience in a similar position or with similar responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or other relevant field.
• Very good understanding of banking products, financial metrics and regulatory concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curiosity and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.
• Good/strong proficiency in SQL or other relevant data tools.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Experience working in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams.
