Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience of purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment
• Management of a range of electronic, mechanical and distribution materials
• Inventory Management both supplier and internally
• Analytical and a “can do” attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Can work unsupervised and remain self-motivated

Responsibilities:

Material Availability

• Setting up and managing electronic replenishment, by reviewing inventory levels, target quantities, lead times, aligning MOQ/MSQs with production demand
• Setting up and managing consignment stock for industry standard components
• For non-replenishment, raising POs, rescheduling / cancelling orders to meet the MRP and setting up and maintaining Safety Stock

Management of Suppliers

• Day to day management of suppliers to ensure they deliver parts on time and in the right quantity
• Review with key suppliers the forecasts received after S&OP and make supply and demand overview to identify and resolve any gapsin supply
• Arrange supplier meetings, invite key stakeholders, prepare presentation, take minutes and follow up actions

Inventory Management

• Negotiation, setting up and review of supplier managed inventory and seeking to reduce CTs liability of stock held by suppliers
• Monthly review and analysis of Obsolete Inventory and the management of their disposa
• Support the internal process which aims to ensure material availability at the point of use and working with suppliers

Contract Negotiation

• Working alongside Strategic Procurement; negotiate, implement and review contractual agreements to cover the operational purchasing terms; delivery, inventory, logistics, liability of inventory, buffer and consignment terms.
• Adhering to local and international Nidec Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
