We are looking for a Category Manager to strategically manage the Non Pharma product portfolio, with a focus on increasing commercial performance and profitability in the OTC and Food Supplements categories. The role involves achieving profitability targets and implementing the category strategy across the entire retail chain, as well as coordinating the activity of the subordinate team.

Responsibilities:

• Category strategy and planning:

• Defines and implements the strategy for each category in the portfolio, in line with the company's commercial objectives;

• Develops annual plans with clear and measurable KPIs;

• Establishes and monitors profitability objectives, developing scenarios and initiatives to achieve them;

• Analyzes the market and identifies growth opportunities.

• Product portfolio management

• Defines the assortment and coordinates the product listing / delisting process, based on performance data;

• Optimizes the product mix based on margin and contribution to profitability;

• Supervises product management for each category.

• Supplier Management and Negotiations

• Participates in negotiations with strategic suppliers, together with Purchasing;

• Establishes and manages commercial conditions, evaluating supplier performance;

• Monitors financial results and initiates improvement measures (renegotiations, optimization of expired/return compensation terms).

• Pricing and Promotion

• Defines and implements pricing strategy;

• Ensures compliance with pricing policies;

• Evaluates and optimizes the impact of prices and promotions on margin and volume.

• Performance Reporting and Analysis

• Monitors KPIs: sales, margin, stock turnover, market share;

• Analyzes sell-out, sell-in, inventory and customer indicators;

• Tracks category profitability versus budget/forecast;

• Tracks performance vs. budget/forecast and implements corrective measures.

• Managerial Responsibilities

• Facilitates cooperation and actively engages at intra- and interdepartmental level to achieve company objectives;

• Communicates and coordinates team roles and responsibilities;

• Develops team members and supports results orientation.

Candidate Profile:

• Completed higher education – Economics, Pharmacy, Marketing or related fields;
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and profitability at category level (margin, profit, budget / forecast), including interpretation of commercial indicators and identification of corrective actions;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (Category Management / Purchasing), preferably in retail;
• Experience in margin and profitability management, pricing & promotions and negotiation with suppliers;
• Advanced PC operating skills (MS Office);
• English language – advanced level.
