The Team – your impact

Join E.ON’s central agile product team for Software Distribution and Hardening to develop a state-of-the-art automated solution that ensures secure and compliant infrastructure across the organization. Start with virtual machines today and help shape the platform for tomorrow, playing a key role in safeguarding E.ON’s digital environment.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

• Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions for new requirements, ensuring the use of modern, up-to-date technologies and best practices for performance, scalability, and security, leveraging AWS services.

• Software Development: Build and maintain applications using AWS services, with a strong focus on AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon SNS, EventBridge, AWS Systems Manager, and other core AWS components. AWS Systems Manager forms the central basis for all solutions, ensuring consistent configuration, automation and governance.Contribute to developing robust, reusable, and scalable solutions, ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and reliability.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to automate deployments. Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates into the pipeline. Hands-on development is a primary responsibility of this role, with daily coding in Python and Shell/PowerShell.

• API Development & Integration: Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIs and integrations. Work with AWS API Gateway to expose, secure, and monitor APIs. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., IAM-based access, OAuth). Ensure proper API documentation, lifecycle management, and backward compatibility. Integrate with internal and external systems using event-driven architectures (SNS, EventBridge) and messaging patterns where appropriate.

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

• Completed studies or training in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Strong interest in working in an international, agile, and remote team, with a mindset that embraces agile principles and collaboration.
• Flexible availability to travel monthly including onsite meetings in Germany
• High level of ownership and accountability, taking the lead on tasks and driving them to completion.
• Proactively contributing with new ideas and continuous improvements rather than only executing assigned work.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
