We’re looking for a skilled Cloud & Infrastructure IT Support Engineer to join our team! If you have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and enjoy helping people, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or web portal.

• Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and the client platform.

• Support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms, cloud services, servers, storage systems, and networking components.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud environments in a timely manner.

• Log, track, and update all incidents and requests in the helpdesk ticketing system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

• Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques, targeted questioning, system analysis, and monitoring tools.

• Assist in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of virtualization and cloud infrastructure environments.

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of servers, storage systems, desktops, audio-visual equipment, printers, software, and network infrastructure.

• Conduct fault diagnosis, collect and analyze system logs, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with system and equipment suppliers when necessary.

• Support hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premise virtualization platforms and public cloud services.

• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues when required.

• Coordinate and manage third-party engineers for on-site troubleshooting at customer locations.

• Occasionally travel within the EU, as required for business needs (2–3 times per year).

• Work 8-hour shifts within the 09:00 to 21:00 window.

• Hybrid work model, with occasional presence at the Cluj-Napoca office (candidate must be based in Cluj-Napoca or within commuting distance).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2–3 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, virtualization, or technical support environments.

• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing basics, VPNs, firewalls).

• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems, including basic administration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Citrix, or similar platforms.

• Basic to intermediate experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud.

• Basic experience with server hardware, storage systems, and enterprise infrastructure environments.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Exposure to hybrid cloud and infrastructure operations environments is considered a strong advantage.

• Good communication skills in English and a customer-oriented mindset.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise network equipment (Huawei, Fortinet) and wireless infrastructure.

• Experience with storage, SAN/NAS systems (Brocade, Synology, NetApp, etc.).

• Exposure to monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, TCPDump, PerfMon, or similar.

• Basic scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash).

• Experience with CCTV / surveillance systems (e.g., Hikvision).

• Familiarity with advanced virtualization platforms and desktop virtualization technologies.

• Experience working in enterprise hybrid cloud environments.

• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, VMware, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, or other cloud certifications)
