QogniFly Systems SRL is looking for an experienced CNC / CAM Programmer to join our manufacturing team at our Bucharest facility and support the production of precision components based on 3D models. In this role, you will transform 3D models into reliable and efficient CNC machining programs. You will prepare models for manufacturing, define machining strategies and toolpaths, simulate operations, generate machine-ready code, and work closely with CNC Operators during first-part validation and process optimization.Main Responsibilities:Prepare 3D models for CNC machining: Review and prepare engineering models for manufacturing, ensuring geometry is suitable for the required machining operations.Develop CAM programs: Create toolpaths, machining strategies, cutting sequences, simulations, and post-processed CNC programs.Work with multiple CAD formats: Handle files such as STEP, IGES, SolidWorks (SLDPRT / SLDASM), Parasolid, STL, CATIA, DXF / DWG, and similar formats.Define machining setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding solutions, machining strategies, and process parameters.Simulate and validate machining operations: Verify toolpaths, identify potential collisions or machining issues, and optimize programs before release to production.Support CNC Operators: Release machining programs to operators, provide setup information, and assist during first-part production.Perform first-part validation: Review the first manufactured component against technical requirements and adjust CAM programs where necessary.Optimize machining processes: Improve cycle times, tool usage, surface quality, and overall machining efficiency while maintaining dimensional accuracy.Collaborate with engineering and production teams: Resolve manufacturability issues and contribute to continuous improvement of CNC manufacturing processes.For This Role, You Will Need:Previous experience as a CNC / CAM Programmer.Solid knowledge of 3D CAD models and their preparation for CNC machining.Ability to work with engineering models provided in STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, Parasolid, or similar formats.Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and toolpath development.Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding methods, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Good understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances.Experience with machining simulation and post-processing.Ability to support first-part validation and make program corrections based on machining results.Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to machining processes.English proficiency is mandatory, as technical documentation and software interfaces are primarily in English.Availability to work on-site at the QogniFly factory in Bucharest.Nice to Have:Previous experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.Experience with Alphacam, Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar CAM software.Experience programming multi-axis CNC machines.Knowledge of machining complex 3D surfaces and advanced toolpath strategies.Experience optimizing machining processes for cycle time, tool life, and surface quality.CAM software certifications or other relevant technical certifications.Previous experience working with components manufactured for aerospace, UAV, robotics, or other high-precision applications.Send your CV to: [email protected] Show more Show less
