• Purchases material/ services in line with existing strategies.
• Responsible for capacity planning, tooling management and communication to suppliers.
• Leads negotiations of complex and or critical supplier agreements & set up contracts.
• Identify and/or recommends supplier selection in alignment with commodity teams where
applicable.
• Coordinates supplier relationship with internal functions (i.e. trouble shooting).
• Achieves cost and performance objectives in line with existing strategies.
• Supports other buying activities as required.
• Identifies and mitigates supplier chain risks.
• Lead / participate in basic and/or moderately complex supplier related problem solving
initiatives and implement solutions and escalate when and where appropriate.
• Monitor KPIs and propose improvement actions and present when applicable.
• Follows established procedures and best practices and proactively suggest and seek
improvement opportunities.
• Manage engineering changes on current part numbers.
• Lead communication at all levels of supplier organization and present to groups as needed.
• Participates with individual inputs to the monthly forecasting and yearly budgeting activities
