We are currently looking for a passionate and proactive Communication Specialist for Bucharest, within Rompetrol Downstream.

Rompetrol Downstream coordinates the local fuel distribution network. In Romania, the company operates over 450 fuel stations, including its own stations as well as Rompetrol Partner and Rompetrol Express franchises. More than fuel distribution points, Rompetrol stations are designed as service centers where, in addition to high-quality products, customers can relax in more than 160 Hei restaurants across the network.

Your new role: Plans and implements external and internal communication activity plan for Rompetrol Downstream (including communications and events) based on business strategy of the entity and alignment with the approach in the internal communication and events at the Group level.

Activities going to help you shine:

• Develop and implement the integrated external and internal communication plan for Rompetrol Downstream.

• Enhance the Rompetrol’s voice and presence through online and offline channels;

• Ensure consistent messaging that reflects the company’s strategy, culture, and brand positioning.

• Create, write, edit, and publish high-quality content across external and internal channels.

• Plan and execute communication and PR campaigns, including events, interviews, editorials, conferences, and employee initiatives.

• Strengthen employee engagement and support organizational culture through targeted internal communication activities.

• Manage media relations, handle press inquiries, and maintain strong partnerships with PR and media agencies.

• Draft press releases, speeches, and various communication materials for both external and internal audiences.

• Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage and communication performance.

• Identify new communication channels and propose creative ideas to increase visibility and audience engagement.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and support for business priorities.

The fuel needed to go further with us:

• Bachelor’s degree required; a specialization in Communication, Journalism, or related fields is a strong advantage.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar communication or PR role.

• Proven experience in press and media relations, including handling media inquiries and maintaining relationships with journalists.

• Demonstrated ability to write articles, press materials, and high-quality editorial content.

• Experience in the energy industry is an advantage.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with photo and video editing software is an asset.

• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.

• Very good command of English.

• Category B driving license is a plus.

• Willingness and availability to travel.
