Role Description

This is a full-time (or flexible collaboration), on-site and field-based role for a Community & Project Manager , based in Bucharest, Romania, with frequent travel.

The role involves developing and managing relationships with farmers, growing and engaging the CATA community, and coordinating projects from concept to implementation. The candidate will be responsible for organizing events and field activities, and ensuring effective communication .

Additionally, the role includes creating relevant content, supporting project development, and identifying opportunities for partnerships . The successful candidate will act as a key connector between farmers, partners, and the organization, playing a central role in expanding CATA’s impact.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in working directly with farmers and rural communities
• Proven project management skills, including planning, coordination, and execution of activities
• Experience in community building, stakeholder engagement, or field work
• Ability to organize events, meetings, and on-the-ground activities
• Basic experience in content creation and communication (social media, storytelling, reporting)
• High level of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to travel and work both in the field and in an office setting

Nice to have:

• Background or experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or NGOs
• Familiarity with sustainable, regenerative, or climate-smart agriculture
• Experience in partnership development or fundraising

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Business, Communication, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory if relevant experience is demonstrated.
