Construction Team Leader – Hospital Project (Bucharest, Romania)

About the Project:

We are recruiting for a major hospital construction project in Romania for our client – an international infrastructure project management company. This is a key leadership role responsible for the technical and contractual administration of the project, acting as the Engineer according to FIDIC Red Book 2017 on behalf of the Employer.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Represent the Employer in contractual and technical matters
• Supervise contractors, designers, site engineers, and medical equipment suppliers
• Administer FIDIC Red Book contracts and manage claims
• Monitor project execution: scope, cost, quality, schedule
• Approve payment applications, design variations, and extensions of time (EOT)
• Lead the supervision team and coordinate multidisciplinary engineers
• Oversee medical equipment installation and compliance with standards
• Report progress to Employer and Contracting Authority

Requirements:

• University degree: Civil Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Construction Economics
• Minimum 15 years professional experience (≥10 years in project management)
• At least 8 years as Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader in similar projects
• Experience in hospital or healthcare facility construction
• Proficiency in FIDIC Red Book contract administration and claims management
• Leadership of multidisciplinary supervision teams
• Advanced Romanian and English
• MS Office, MS Project, Quantity Surveying software
