As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible as part of a team to ensure that all records, transactions, reports, and documentation comply with Romanian laws and regulations, in collaboration with managers or senior staff members when needed.
Main responsibilities:
- perform full accounting evidence for a portfolio of clients;
- ensure that all records, transactions, reports, and documentation comply with Romanian legislation;
- calculate taxes according to Romanian fiscal legislation;
- prepare all declarations as required by law;
- prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Romanian laws for the assigned clients;
- provide assistance and advice to clients on all matters regarding accounting issues;
- provide assistance during tax inspections;
- prepare group or other reports requested by the clients;
- prepare reports required by the National Institute of Statistics or the National Bank of Romania;
- mentor junior accountants in developing their professional competency.

We are looking for a new colleague with:
- willingness to successfully pursue a career in accounting and the ability to integrate seamlessly into the team;
- solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax legislation;
- advanced expertise in accounting and taxation;
- ability to quickly adapt to changes in the customer portfolio and business dynamics;
- effective time management skills;
- high proficiency in English (German is a plus);
- professional communication skills in Romanian and English/German, across all the company's levels and with external business contacts;
- a strong sense of responsibility;
- a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset;
- minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting;
- a degree in Economics or related fields;
- the chartered accountant (CECCAR) qualification - an advantage;
- IFRS knowledge - an advantage.
