ELIT Romania is looking for a new colleague in department of Finance. Reporting directly to the CFO, you would be responsible for the whole credit and collections agenda.

• Working from Monday till Friday: 08:00 – 17:00.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update customer records, credit limits, payment terms, and blocking conditions in the ERP/accounting system
• Monitor customer balances, invoices, collections (bank and cash), and payment promises
• Review credit exposure and enforce approved credit limits and overdue blocking rules
• Issue balance confirmations, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on non-confirmations
• Proactively manage overdue receivables through customer communication, notifications, and payment summons
• Identify bad-paying and high-risk clients; propose provisions and account blocking where necessary
• Prepare and submit cases for debt recovery, legal action, insolvency proceedings, and prescription risk
• Coordinate with external debt collection agencies, lawyers, and credit insurers (e.g., Coface)
• Monitor payment instruments and guarantees, including due dates and bank submissions
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Accounting to manage receivables and client risk
• Prepare and submit regular (weekly/monthly) management reports on collections, arrears, aging, and KPIs
• Support audits by preparing requested receivables and customer documentation
• Ensure timely submission of all reports and compliance with internal credit policies

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluent Romanian and communicative level of English.
• Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial administration.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, collections, and receivables management.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel.
• Ability to analyze customer financial data and assess credit risk.
• Good communication and negotiation skills for dealing with customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of debt recovery procedures, legal actions, and insolvency processes is an advantage.
