We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Engineer Intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, working alongside experienced professionals in the field of data engineering. The selected candidate will have the chance to contribute to real-world projects, learn industry-leading technologies, and develop essential skills in data pipeline development, data modeling, and database management.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient data processing pipelines.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Apache Spark, Python, and other relevant technologies.
• Implement workflow orchestration and scheduling using Apache Airflow to automate data pipeline workflows.
• Design and optimize data models for storage and retrieval in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze and validate data quality, integrity, and consistency.
• Utilize version control systems (e.g., Gitlab) to manage codebase and collaborate with team members.
• Assist in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of data processing tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.

Required Skills:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in Data Domain.
• Basic understating of Python programming / scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with cloud platforms and Data Engineering tools is a plus but not required, tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow.
