SCC Data Services unit is looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join our development team. As part of our team, you will help design and implement complex DW and BI solutions for our customers, leveraging both on-premises and cloud technologies (primarily using Microsoft technology stack).We deliver end-to-end BI services, from architecting DW/BI solutions and designing & developing Data Warehouses, to implementing ETL processes and developing the presentation layer.ResponsibilitiesAs a developer in our Business Intelligence team, you will have to:Take part in implementing complex BI solutions for SCC customersParticipate in the design and development of Data Warehouse systemsDesign, implement, fine tune Azure Synapse or Fabric pipelines for big data.Establish data governance and metadata management practices.Design and develop SQL stored procedures, functions, views, triggersDesign, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes) as part of the solutions we developWork closely with our Data Architects as part of DW solution design and developmentMaintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable BI technical knowledge assetsEstimate effort for assigned coding tasksJob RequirementsAdvanced knowledge of relational databases & SQL with a strong understanding of database structures/Data Modeling conceptsStrong understanding of Data Warehousing/ETL strategy and best practices as well as the ability to develop ETL processes using T-SQL/SSIS/Data Factory/Synapse Analytics/Microsoft FabricHands-on experience working with Azure Data Platform technologies, including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SynapseExperience working with Microsoft Fabric and understanding its concepts and layers in a data management contextWorking knowledge of business system analysis and requirements definitionAbility to translate business questions into data requirements and business intelligenceExperience in database development, SQL queries, stored proceduresAbility to adhere to coding standards and participate in peer code reviewsKnowledge and understanding of the software development life cycleExperience with software documenting and version controlAnalytical and troubleshooting skills with challenging technical subjects and tasks.Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)Preferred Qualifications (Would Be a Plus):Expertise in Azure Data Stack (Synapse, ADF, Databricks).Experience with scripting for advanced analytics.Ability to create Power BI data models and use DAX expressionsGrowth and Development:At SCC, we are committed to the professional growth and development of our colleagues.
