Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact center, using digital services.

About the role

As a Data Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between various systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data integration pipelines using various ETL/ELT tools and technologies.
• Work closely with data architects, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
• Optimize data integration workflows for performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain data mapping, transformation rules, and data validation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and improve existing data infrastructure.
• Document data integration solutions, including design specifications, data flows, and operational procedures.
• Stay up to date with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies in data integration. Contribute to security, patching, and system hardening activities

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Integration Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Apache NiFi, Airflow).
• Experience with cloud-based data integration platforms (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for data manipulation and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
