DB Global Technology (Bucharest) is looking for a Data Engineer Lead to join the AI Tribe within Corporate Banking. The role focuses on building and scaling data platforms that enable advanced analytics and AI use cases across business-critical systems.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and data platforms
• Lead the development of cloud-based data solutions (preferably GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
• Own data ingestion, transformation, and processing at scale
• Enable data science teams by providing clean, reliable, production-ready data
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams
• Drive best practices in data engineering, architecture, and MLOps
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in data engineering and big data ecosystems
• Hands-on expertise with Python and data processing frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also relevant)
• Solid understanding of data architecture and distributed systems
• Experience leading or mentoring teams
• Exposure to data science / ML workflows
• Background in financial services is a plus
