With a strong presence in container shipping and terminal operations, the company manages a global network of terminals and services and is consistently ranked among the Fortune Global 500.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Department Manager for our Constanta Office, to head our newly established Supply Chain Customer Service Department (SCCSD).This is a strategic role responsible for transforming traditional customer service operations into a modern, integrated Full-Chain Customer Service model. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience across ocean transportation, trucking, customs clearance, warehousing, and related supply chain services.The SCCSD Manager will lead a multi-functional team of approximately 20 people, drive operational excellence, support organizational change, and maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments, overseas offices, and Headquarters, as well as ownership of the key IT systems that support customer service operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead, develop and motivate the Supply Chain Customer Service Department, ensuring effective coordination and performance of approximately 20 team members.Drive the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the Full-Chain Customer Service model.Ensure consistent high-quality customer service delivery across all supply chain products and service segments (ocean, trucking, customs, warehousing, etc.).Take full ownership of the IT systems and digital platforms used by the department (including customer service portals, order management, tracking systems, CRM tools and related operational platforms). Ensure correct system utilization, data quality, process compliance and continuous system optimization.Support and actively participate in digital transformation initiatives, system upgrades, process automation and the adoption of new operational platforms and workflows.Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs) and response-time targets.Lead cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Commercial, Business Process, IT and other support departments.Proactively manage customer escalations, operational exceptions and service recovery actions.Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, performance management and talent development.Foster a strong customer-centric, collaborative and results-oriented culture within the department.Contribute to organizational planning, process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements:University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Economics, Maritime Studies or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, logistics, shipping, supply chain, freight forwarding or transportation operations.Proven experience in a supervisory, team leader or managerial role.Strong leadership, people management and team development skills.Solid understanding and practical experience with IT systems used in logistics/customer service environments (CRM, order management systems, tracking platforms, ERP modules, etc.). Experience in system implementation or process digitalization is a strong advantage.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Customer-oriented mindset with a clear focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.Experience in process improvement and organizational change initiatives is highly valued.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Good command of English, both written and spoken (Chinese language skills are an advantage).Our Values – PANDA:At COSCO SHIPPING we believe that professional success starts with strong values.
