SCOPE & FUNCTION:

• Review technical specifications and prepare key notes for the pre-design phase, including identification of required design actions and preparation of deviation lists when applicable.
• Perform basic mechanical design calculations and provide technical support for sizing and verification activities.
• Prepare 3D models including bill of material structure with Creo, equipment layouts and assembly drawings based on project requirements.
• Develop engineering deliverables for assigned equipment packages.
• Review and check designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Identify, select, and specify bought-out components relevant to the equipment design (as per technical requirements and procurement strategy) in cooperation with purchasing department.
• Prepare and verify onboard equipment piping (mechanical piping layouts, routing, and basic piping engineering) in accordance with project standards and interfaces.

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong conceptual knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical design and related engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Creo and PDM link Windchill.
• Knowledge and familiarity with welding and machining symbols and their application in mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with assembly processes and practical manufacturing considerations.
• Knowledge of fits/tolerances, geometric tolerancing, and dimensioning practices
• Familiarity with bought-out components typically used in moving and rotating machinery.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and effectively with superiors and colleagues.
• Proper communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to handle multiple activities concurrently with minimal supervision and ensure timely deliverables. ​​

EDUCATION: Graduate Mechanical Engineer from reputed Engineering University.

PREVIOUS WORKING EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of working experience in similar position, within engineering companys.
