successful delivery of the Cluj Project, we are seeking an experienced and highly capable Design Office Manager who will lead all design management, multidisciplinary coordination, consultant interfaces, technical reviews, and design delivery activities throughout the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all project design activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.Serve as the primary focal point for design-related communication with consultants, architects, engineers, authorities, subcontractors, and internal project teams.Develop, monitor, and maintain design schedules to ensure timely delivery of all design milestones and project deliverables.Review design submissions for compliance with contractual obligations, project requirements, technical specifications, and applicable standards.Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist design disciplines to ensure complete design alignment and integration.Lead multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and proactively resolve technical conflicts and interface issues.Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design revisions, consultant responses, and document control activities.Support procurement and construction functions through technical evaluations, material approvals, design clarifications, and vendor coordination.Oversee BIM implementation and ensure effective multidisciplinary design coordination within the project environment.Identify design-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts.Collaborate closely with Construction, Planning, Procurement, Cost Control, Commercial, and Project Management teams to ensure alignment between design and execution activities.Participate in value engineering initiatives and continuous design optimization efforts aimed at improving project efficiency and performance.Prepare and present regular design progress reports, executive summaries, and technical updates to senior management.Ensure that all design deliverables contribute to the successful achievement of project objectives, quality standards, and contractual milestones.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum 10 years of professional experience in design management, engineering coordination, technical office operations, or project design management.Proven experience in the delivery of large-scale construction, EPC, healthcare, commercial, hospitality or mixed-use developments.Demonstrated Design Office experience on at least three major construction projects exceeding 150,000 m², including leadership and management responsibilities.Strong track record in managing multidisciplinary design teams, engineering consultants, and external stakeholders.Extensive knowledge of architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure design processes and project interfaces.Strong experience in coordinating architectural and MEP disciplines across complex projects, ensuring effective design integration, clash resolution, and constructability.Proven experience managing the design process from concept development through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.Experience reviewing and approving technical submissions, design packages, shop drawings, engineering calculations, and consultant deliverables.Strong understanding of design risk management, constructability reviews, value engineering, and technical coordination processes.Practical knowledge of BIM methodologies, multidisciplinary model coordination, and digital design collaboration platforms.Previous hospital project experience will be considered a strong asset.International project experience, particularly on overseas assignments, is highly desirable.Familiarity with Romanian permitting processes, local regulations, and design standards is considered an advantage.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.Romanian language skills will be considered an advantage.Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to perform effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary project
