DevOps Engineer (DevEx & Cloud Enablement Team)
About The Job
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help build and operate the infrastructure and developer platforms that power eMAG’s engineering ecosystem. You will focus on enabling fast, reliable, and secure software delivery by managing and evolving our cloud-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling platforms such as GitLab and Kubernetes.
This role is part of the DevEx & Cloud Enablement department, which provides the tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities used by all our engineering teams. You’ll help shape the developer experience through scalable GitLab-based GitOps practices, Terraform-driven infrastructure, and cloud-native environments.
What you’ll have to do:

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting internal developer platforms such as GitLab and related SDLC tools.
• Develop and operate GitOps workflows using GitLab to manage infrastructure and environment lifecycles across multiple clouds (AWS, GCP, and others).
• Implement reusable GitLab CI/CD pipelines and templates for consistent, secure, and scalable delivery.
• Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS and other cloud-managed deployments) for internal services and development workloads.
• Build automation and self-service tools that help developers create and manage their environments efficiently.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve build, test, and release automation, ensuring fast and reliable feedback cycles.
• Maintain and optimize monitoring and alerting for internal systems (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Continuously improve internal tooling and workflows through feedback and automation.
• Document infrastructure configurations, architecture, and operational runbooks.
  

What makes you a good fit:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
• Proven experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code across cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Working knowledge of GCP and multi-cloud concepts
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles using GitLab
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python)
• A collaborative mindset and passion for improving developer experience
  

What makes you stand out:

• Experience managing GitLab infrastructure (runners, scaling, integrations, CI optimization)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and Helm-based deployments
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch)
• Experience building developer self-service platforms or internal developer portals
• Deep understanding of GitLab GitOps workflows and environment automation
• Exposure to OpenStack or other private cloud environments
• Understanding of cloud governance and cost optimization across multi-cloud setups
