We don’t just build solutions; we build the path to innovation. Our DevOps engineer will be like a skilled DJ, perfectly mixing deployment, security, and performance so everything runs smooth and cool. 

The Role 

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us transform our applications into containerized, portable, and production-ready solutions. You’ll work closely with the development team to establish best practices and build deployment infrastructure for our microservices. 

Main Responsibilities 

Containerization and Orchestration 

• Create and optimize Dockerfiles for .NET Core applications 
• Design and implement deployment strategies on Kubernetes 
• Configure container orchestration for on-premise and cloud environments 
• Ensure application portability across different platforms (K3s, standard Kubernetes, OpenShift) 

Architecture and Best Practices 

• Guide the development team in building cloud-native applications 
• Define specifications for stateless and scalable apps 
• Implement health checks, graceful shutdown, and configuration management 
• Apply design patterns for microservices running in parallel instances 

Infrastructure as Code 

• Create and maintain Helm charts for application packaging 
• Use Terraform/Ansible for infrastructure provisioning 
• Write technical deployment documentation for clients 
• Manage configuration versioning and lifecycle 

CI/CD 

• Design and implement build, test, and deployment pipelines 
• Automate the release process 
• Implement deployment strategies (rolling updates, blue-green, canary) 
• Set up integration testing for microservices 

Security and Compliance 

• Apply container security best practices (non-root users, least privilege) 
• Manage secrets and sensitive configurations (Vault, Kubernetes Secrets) 
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements (OpenShift SCC) 
• Implement encryption and secure inter-service communication 

Observability 

• Set up monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki) 
• Implement distributed tracing for microservices 
• Configure alerting and incident response procedures 
• Monitor and optimize performance 

Client Support 

• Provide technical documentation for on-premise deployments 
• Support integration with client infrastructures (VMware vSphere, OpenShift) 
• Troubleshoot production issues at client sites 
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to the internal team 

Required Qualifications 

Technical Experience 

• 3+ years of DevOps/SRE experience in production environments 
• Kubernetes: hands-on experience with deployment and management (not just certifications) 
• Docker: containerization, multi-stage builds, optimization, security 
• Linux/Unix: system administration, bash scripting 
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar 
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, or similar 

Microservices Experience 

• Deploying and orchestrating microservices in production 
• Understanding distributed systems challenges (service discovery, communication, failure handling) 
• Service mesh experience (Istio, Linkerd) – nice to have 

Cloud and On-Premise 

• Experience with on-premise deployments (self-hosted Kubernetes, K3s, or similar) 
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere or enterprise virtualization infrastructure 
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP) 
• Understanding of differences between managed and self-hosted services 

Security Mindset 

• Container security best practices (non-root, scanning, least privilege) 
• Experience managing secrets and sensitive data 
• Understanding compliance requirements (GDPR, audit logs) 

Specific Technologies 

• .NET Core: basic understanding (deployment, configuration, performance) – no coding required, but must understand functionality 
• OpenShift awareness: understanding differences vs. standard Kubernetes (Routes, SCC) – expertise not required 
• Helm: application packaging and deployment 

Nice to Have 

• Experience with Rancher for multi-cluster management 
• Knowledge of service mesh and mTLS 
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault 
• Development background (.NET, Python, Go) 
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) 
• Experience with air-gapped deployments 
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka) 

Soft Skills 

• Excellent communication: work closely with developers and explain technical concepts clearly 
• Documentation: ability to produce clear, client-ready enterprise documentation 
• Problem-solving: troubleshoot complex systems under pressure 
• Autonomy: ability to work independently in a small team 
• Mentoring: train the team on containerization and cloud-native best practices
