Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required

• Technical study of Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar ;
• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, having a solid understanding of the DevOps culture ;
• Strong knowledge of Linux and ability to create shell scripts ;
• Good understanding of networking principles ;
• Proficiency with Git, experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines or YAML alternatives (Azure DevOps, Githbub Actions) ;
• Solid skills in using Ansible, implementing playbooks from scratch ;
• Solid containerization skills (Docker) ;
• Proven skills of Kubernetes & Helm for configuration & deployments ;
• Troubleshooting curiosity, proactive attitude – looking for answers, solution oriented ;
• Previous collaboration with international/mixed development teams ;
• Experience in working with teams that are using the Agile methodologies ;
• Flexibility, adaptability skills in order to evolve in changing environments .
  

Desirable:

• Previous interaction with ITOps activities like networking, firewalls, etc. ;
• T erraform skills ;
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud ;
• Ability to manage artifact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.) and code quality platforms (SonarQube) ;
• Previous exposure to observability/monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus) ;
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and desire to grow these skills ;
• Python scripting competencies .
  

Duties/role:

• Developing automation scripts ;
• Ensuring product quality throughout the development process ;
• Integrat ing /commissioning from NATO facilities ;
• Support ing project deployment ;
• Moving for several days/weeks (depending project phases) to NATO f acilities ;
• Understand ing and clarify ing , if needed, any requirements related to testing new features and/or bug fix ;
• Testing existing system processes and provide recommendations for improvements .
