About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bucharest. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives, helping migrate applications from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while building secure, scalable, and automated CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Terraform, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps automation, along with a passion for delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Design, implement, and optimize enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools.

Support application migration from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational processes.

Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Implement security best practices across infrastructure, cloud environments, and deployment pipelines.

Design and implement Policy-as-Code solutions for cloud governance.

Work closely with development teams to support cloud adoption and CI/CD implementation.

Configure and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Develop and maintain Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments.

Implement service mesh technologies such as Istio to improve application networking and security.

Monitor infrastructure and applications using enterprise monitoring platforms.

Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Participate in infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure experience.

Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform.

Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Azure.

Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience developing and maintaining Helm Charts.

Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, Go, Java, or JavaScript.

Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles and DevOps best practices.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.

Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).

German language skills are considered an advantage.

Bachelor's Degree, Engineering Degree, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum Baccalaureate qualification.
