The Digital Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships through digital and remote sales interactions. Acting as the main sales contact for an assigned customer portfolio in the DACH market, this role combines technical understanding with proactive sales activities to drive revenue, develop new opportunities, and support customers throughout the sales cycle, fully via digital channels.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customers through remote sales interactions (phone, Teams, email, digital tools)
Drive outbound sales activities, including daily customer calls, follow-ups, and prospecting to generate new opportunities
Achieve sales targets and contribute to pipeline growth through upsell and cross-sell of the Discrete Automation portfolio
Act as the main sales point of contact for customers, providing pre- and post-sales support via digital channels
Support customers in transitioning to digital self-service platforms, including onboarding and basic training
Prepare and manage quotations and support order-related activities, redirecting service topics to Customer Service
Document customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups accurately in Salesforce CRM
Collaborate with outside sales, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery of commitments
