About The Role

We are looking for a Domestic Tourism Manager to build and manage our domestic tourism product portfolio. This is a key role within our newly structured Incoming & Domestic Travel division, with direct ownership of restructuring and strengthening our existing domestic product portfolio, supplier base and ground operations across Romania.

You will work closely with the Head of Incoming & Domestic Travel and collaborate with the Incoming team to develop a supplier infrastructure that serves both departments. Paralela 45 has an existing domestic base — your role is to evaluate, strengthen and expand it into a competitive and commercially optimized product portfolio.

This role reports directly to the Head of Incoming & Domestic Travel.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

• Evaluate the existing domestic tourism product portfolio and restructure it into a competitive, commercially optimized offering — circuits, city breaks, nature and wildlife packages, cultural itineraries, wellness and adventure products
• Identify product opportunities based on market trends, source market demand and competitive landscape
• Design itineraries and product sheets for both the Romanian domestic market and international operators selling Romania as a destination
• Align the domestic product infrastructure with incoming market needs in collaboration with the Incoming Manager

Supply Chain & Contracting

• Review, renegotiate and expand supplier contracts across Romania — hotels, guesthouses, guides, coach companies, local ground operators, activity providers
• Negotiate rates, allotments and contractual terms with hotel and service partners
• Build and maintain an up-to-date database of qualified suppliers across priority destinations
• Monitor supplier service quality and manage long-term partner relationships

Operations

• Oversee the operational execution of domestic group and package bookings
• Work with the team to ensure seamless reservation and logistics management
• Manage unforeseen operational situations and provide fast, effective solutions
• Track and control costs to ensure target commercial margins are maintained

Commercial

• Support the Head of Incoming & Domestic Travel in product strategy and annual planning
• Contribute to pricing strategy and yield management for domestic packages
• Participate in relevant trade fairs, industry events and networking opportunities

• Number of contracted suppliers and destinations covered
• Gross margin achieved on domestic packages versus target
• Product portfolio size — number of active packages available for sale
• Supplier quality scores and client satisfaction on domestic itineraries
• On-time and accurate execution of group bookings — zero operational failures

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in tourism, with a focus on domestic product development or ground operations
• Proven track record in supplier contracting and management within the Romanian tourism industry
• Strong knowledge of the Romanian tourism market — destinations, suppliers, seasonality, commercial dynamics

Technical Skills

• Strong negotiation and contracting skills
• Experience building and pricing tourism packages
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with reservation systems and industry tools

Languages

• Romanian — native
• English — advanced level
• Additional European language is an advantage
