Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Economist role located in Cluj-Napoca. We need a colleague passionate about numbers and organization, who will take over responsibilities related to primary accounting and HR administration.

Responsabilities:

• Recording supplier invoices in the accounting system
• Issuing invoices to the company’s clients
• Responsibility for banking operations (processing payments, recording bank statements, checking balances, etc.)
• Processing petty cash register documents
• Recording accounting entries
• Verifying and recording expense reports
• Verifying balances for all accounts in the trial balance
• Performing periodic balance confirmations with the company’s clients and suppliers
• Recording and accounting for fixed asset movement documents, as well as their depreciation
• Tracking expenses related to investment projects
• Ensuring timely accounting entries and compliance with monthly closing deadlines
• Performing preliminary month-end closing checks
• Participating in inventory stocktaking activities
• Archiving financial and accounting documents
• Managing employee personnel files, handling timesheets, and preparing the documents required for payroll processing
• Salary calculation
• Processing meal vouchers

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance and Accounting (mandatory)
• PC operating skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of the NEXUS ERP system is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of accounting and taxation
• Basic knowledge of labor legislation
• Responsibility and attention to detail
• Analytical, synthesis, and interpretation skills
• Proactive attitude, integrity, and strong communication skills
