Manpower Romania, engineering division is looking for a Grid Solutions Engineer to join the team of one our clients,a global leader in sustainable energy solutions.

In this role, you’ll ensure our wind power plants meet grid connection and compliance requirements across Eastern Europe – with a special focus on Romania and Bulgaria.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze grid connection codes and maintain proactive communication with Transmission & Distribution System Operators (TSOs/DSOs), especially in Romania and Bulgaria.
• Provide technical support to the Sales team during bids and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with grid and customer standards.
• Collaborate in a team-selling approach, offering technical expertise and risk mitigation strategies for specific tenders.
• Lead value engineering initiatives and prepare technical contractual annexes.
• Support project implementation and commissioning to ensure electrical and grid compliance.
• Advise customers, contractors, and grid operators on wind power technology performance and integration.
• Contribute input to R&D department to ensure future competitiveness of Grid solutions.

🎓 Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in grid compliance or wind power plant integration — ideally within the Wind Industry or Transmission System Operators (e.g. TRANSELECTRICA).
• Solid understanding of wind power technology (WTG and PPC electrical design and control).
• Knowledge of TRANSELECTRICA grid connection codes, HV/MV equipment, and substation design.
• Familiarity with power system stability, control, and analysis.
• Experience with tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, or similar modeling software (a plus).
• Knowledge of the Romanian energy market (a plus).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
