Electrical Supervisor / Renewable Projects

Introduction
The Renewables Department within Bureau Veritas Romania’s Industry Business Unit is the department managing the services delivered to renewable energy projects. Such services include early- and late-stage development, technical advisory, owner’s engineering, construction management, procurement support, and asset management.
Role
Bureau Veritas Romania is currently seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join the Renewables team in Romania. The successful candidate shall play a key role in overseeing the execution of electrical infrastructure and grid connection works performed by (EPC) contractors on renewable project sites.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to:

• Supervise all LV / MV / HV electrical works on site to ensure full compliance with design specifications, applicable standards and regulations, and quality requirements.
• Supervise the execution and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and verification activities to validate the quality and functionality of installations.
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor works progress.
• Address delays, technical issues, and resource needs.
• Coordinate daily activities on site to ensure smooth multidisciplinary execution.
• Identify risks, resolve operational problems on site, and ensure corrective actions are implemented quickly and effectively.
• Enforce safety procedures, work permits, isolations / energizations, and compliance with HSE regulations.
• Review and manage related documentation, including basic and detailed designs, drawings, checklists, non-conformities, change orders, as-builts, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Support the decision-making process from both technical and commercial aspects.
• Stakeholder management – establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal Project Management Teams, client representatives, transmission and distribution system operators, regulatory bodies, design teams, and contractors.
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising electrical works on large-scale industrial projects. Having worked on renewable projects is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Romanian electrical standards, procedures, regulations, and permitting process for renewable energy assets.
• Strong background in electrical commissioning.

Location
Full-time on-site during projects execution. Alternatively, in the Bucharest HQ Office.
