We are looking for a candidate for the position of Environmental Manager which should have completed a degree program in Environmental Engineering for our Cluj Metro Project.

Your Profile:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and construction industry standards.
• Proven experience in environmental compliance, waste management, and sustainability practices on construction sites.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct environmental inspections, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Responsabilities:

• Ensure compliance with national and EU environmental regulations, as well as internal company policies and environmental standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, environmental risk assessments, and audits to identify potential environmental issues.
• Prepare legal compliance documentation in accordance with Romanian legislation and project specifications, and determine the necessary environmental actions.
• Conduct weekly and monthly environmental audits on site, follow up on non-conformities, and maintain accurate records.
• Identify environmental aspects and prepare the project's environmental impact assessment table.
• Submit weekly environmental progress reports.
• Conduct internal environmental audits of subcontractors at least twice a year.
• Maintain subcontractor environmental performance reports and contribute to the monthly environmental performance reports.
• Implement actions within the Environmental Management Plan to prevent pollution.
• Ensure that waste management records are properly maintained.
• Review and verify reports submitted to the Cluj Environmental Protection Agency.
• Ensure the proper disposal, recovery, and recycling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and that all required waste declarations are submitted to the relevant authorities.
• Participate in the ISO 14001:2015 internal audits conducted by Gülermak Headquarters on behalf of the project and prepare the required documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure the implementation of environmental protection measures on site
