Job Description
Following the recent acquisition of IPG by Omnicom, MRM Delivery Romania is partnering closely with RAPP to build expanded capabilities across the network. This position is advertised under MRM, will work directly in support of the RAPP team, and reflects the ongoing integration of both organizations.

Who is team x? team x is the dedicated agency for Mercedes-Benz / Omnicom. It is a full-service agency covering all areas of marketing activity (Creative, MarTech, Media, Digital Marketing, PR, Events, Production). The team in Romania is only around 1 year old and is the newly designed Experience Center which is delivering digital marketing services for all EU markets as a centralised service.

Part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group, RAPP is comprised of 2,000+ creatives, technologists, strategists, and data and marketing scientists across 15+ global markets.
YOUR ROLE
Drive and manage activation and delivery of campaigns on several levels and functions. Working hand in hand with 17 local markets to ensure adoption and enable integrated project steering across all phases of campaigns.
Your Responsibilities
(But are not limited to)
- – Create a new culture and steer individual team growth and motivation. It is your responsibility that the output of the team in Romania, our local markets and our offshore hubs are delivering effectively and to the clients’ expectations. Give colleagues and clients clarity about direction and tasks. Take responsibility and give clear direction when needed. You will be the single point of contact for the Mercedes Benz Romania EU hub lead. You need to be clear in your words and able to prepare and manage meetings with senior stakeholder. We also expect you to strategic challenge the client to ensure that both parties are operating efficiently and effectively.
- – for MB the quality of the work and transparency of their agency is key. You need to make sure we efficiently manage; track and quality control all work and openly report this to the client. Hence, you need to optimise and train your team to deliver the best or nothing every day on every asset and copy. The current set up is not best in class and it will be your expectations to elevate the operations with support of an on the ground operations lead.
- – The local clients tend to be more sceptical of hub operation, and they want to get a sense of understanding and control. In addition, it is key we work as one team x across countries which includes listening and understand to the issues of the local teams. You need to build strong relationships and regularly connect with all local teams and help them to get better but also sometimes ensure they follow our strategy and needs of Mercedes Benz. Your role will be to defend the hubs and Experience Center model and be able to navigate complex scenarios to ensure the markets invest in the centralised solution.
- Delivery: regular catch up with local team x and clients for updates and feedback, and break down barriers to adoption.
- – within a highly inclusive and diverse workplace, we expect you to develop and partly mentor our mid-level, and junior talent. A good leader makes the people around them better every day. Therefore, we expect you to “shield” your team and enable them to do their work as best as they can as well as empower them to learn and develop using your training and development budget.
- Delivery: build a strong team spirit and togetherness, enable training. Strong talent retention and performance (measured by HR tool).
- Digital Market Excellence – you will need to speak proficiently about CRM, Website Publishing, Creative Production, Media, Social Media, Data & MarTech. You will have experts to support you, but you must be seen as a digital marketer by trade and be able to maneuverer through those channels to provide leadership and guidance to the team.
- Delivery: be able to provide support to the team to deliver the best possible output to the client.
- – get involved with Experience Planning and pro-actively drive new, better ways of working and ideas to our Mercedes-Benz partners. We expect you to be hungry and ambitious to deliver the best or nothing. Meaning, the client expects you to pro-actively develop ideas and ways to make their business better
- Delivery: lead key projects and bring new ideas to the client to scope and execute
- – develop transparent and realistic scopes when developing and operating accounts. In partnership with finance, you need to track these budgets and make sure we are delivering what is promised but also flag work that is out of scope and needs to be re-adjusted.
Skills And Experience
- in a senior strategic role within a communication agency, strategy, or tech consultancy (15+ years)
- as your client is nice, young ambitious and they want someone to openly discuss and share a point of view
- , you will be required to work within a complex network of agencies and markets. This is one of the most important parts of the role.
- – in peak times or even when things need to move very quickly, we expect everyone to do what is needed. Our leaders lead by example and get “their hands dirty” with whatever task needs to be done.

- with a proven track record for driving multidisciplinary collaboration
- simultaneously, quickly, calmly, effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge in CRM, Adobe, Ad Production, Project Management tools

- Data analytics modelling and reporting
