Our partner, a leading global energy technology company, is hiring a Financial Accountant!

Note:

We offer an initial contract of one year through Prohuman with the possibility of extension/conversion. We are looking for someone who can dedicate 8 hours/day (between 07:30 and 10:00 to 16:00 and 18:30 (flexible), 30 min lunch break, hybrid (3 days from the office located in One Cotroceni, 2 days WFH)), from Monday to Friday, communicates efficiently in both German and English and has 3 years of accounting experience in a multinational organization. Seniority and remuneration: mid level.

As a member of the team, you will ensure that cluster accounting laws and regulations, as well as IFRS Standards, are adhered to. You will review and analyze financial figures, discuss accounting-related topics with business colleagues, and execute accounting tasks and controls. Additionally, you will play a key role in the SAP S/4HANA implementation, being involved in mapping accounting processes and ensuring that requirements are properly designed, tested, and deployed in the new system. Daily exchanges with the Accounting teams based abroad and in Bucharest, as well as with individuals from different countries, through email or live meetings, are common day-to-day activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Ensuring that requirements in relation to accounting and financial reporting according to IFRS and Austrian GAAP are country-wide and timely implemented and adhered to;
• Responsibility for closing and day-to-day activities related to general ledger, provisions, accounts payable and accounts receivable, among other topics;
• Performing reconciliations and regular critical reviews of Balance Sheet and P&L items for the monthly, quarter, and year-end closings;
• Providing support on internal control;
• Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements, including creating audit lead schedules, drafting footnote disclosures, reviewing supporting documentation, communicating issues to independent auditors, and assisting with related documentation and disclosure processes;
• Supporting the yearly external audit process by providing timely information and resolving queries from auditor qualitatively;
• Coordinating and following up the reporting to Statistics Austria;
• Carrying out ad hoc analyses and process alignments as required;
• Support the Accounting team during the transition to SAP S/4HANA;
• Supporting continuous process optimization/digitalization to build the accounting of tomorrow;
• Ad hoc tasks supporting other countries.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required and ideally 3 years of experience in finance/accounting;
• Knowledge of IFRS;
• Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel); familiarity with SAP is an important advantage;
• Good communication skills in German and English find your way around in an international environment;
• A team player with diligence and proactivity, strong sense of ownership.
