Role Overview
18 months contract with benefits
We are seeking a highly analytical contractor to support our finance team in cost analysis, data management, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in handling large manual datasets, applying accounting principles, and delivering actionable insights to local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Cost Analysis & Variance Tracking
• Perform detailed cost analysis across multiple entities and cost centers.
• Identify variances between actual and budgeted costs and provide commentary.
• Support cost allocation processes for OPEx and COGS lines.
• Data Management
• Consolidate and validate large manual datasets from multiple sources.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity for reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain templates for cost tracking and reporting.
• Accounting & Compliance
• Apply accounting standards and company policies for cost classification.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to contract costs.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and internal controls.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
• Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for local finance teams and stakeholders.
• Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, External Partners).
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in cost analysis, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage and analyze large manual datasets.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables) & CoPilot.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) and reporting tools (Power BI).
• Soft Skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cost accounting policies and contract cost capitalization.
• Knowledge of local statutory reporting requirements.
• Exposure to multi-country cost structures and variance analysis.
