RoPower Nuclear SA develops Europe’s first SMR (small modular reactor) nuclear power plant in Romania and is currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Analyst & Treasury Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and he will contribute to financial process improvement. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the process of drawing up the income and expenditure budget (BVC) of the company;
• Conduct monthly business reporting – Actual vs. Forecast/Budget (tracking of P&L, cost, identifying risks and opportunities, presenting to management);
• Optimizing and creating financial models;
• Process the day-to-day financial transactions e.g. payment transactions, currency exchanges, investments;
• Provide support in the preparation of the financial statements and other financial reports;
• Assistance to External and Internal Audit;
• Weekly cash flow forecasting;
• Daily monitoring of cash positions and bank balances across all accounts;
• Management of short-term liquidity and optimization of cash utilization;
• Preparation and execution of payment runs, including validation of supporting documentation;
• Bank relationship management and coordination with financial institutions;
• Monitoring and administration of credit facilities, guarantees, and letters of credit;
• Support in negotiation of banking fees and financial terms;
• Management of foreign exchange exposure and execution of FX transactions;
• Administration of intercompany loans and shareholder loans;
• Monitoring of covenant compliance related to financing agreements;
• Preparation of treasury reports for management (liquidity status, debt overview, funding needs);
• Support in funding strategies and capital structure optimization;
• Implementation and maintenance of treasury procedures and internal controls;
• Prepare periodic specific reports, requested by management;
• Check and reconcile the balances from accounting records;
• Collect, classify and analyse information from accounting documents;
• Will contribute to continuous process improvement and documentation.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the accounting or finance field (similar position);
• Knowledge of the accounting and tax legislative and regulatory framework;
• CFA, CECCAR, or a similar certification is an advantage;
• Competence in the MS Office program suite (Excel advanced level);
• English language – advanced;
• Proactivity, increased attention to details;
