Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, publish and present financial performance reports for the Marine Fuels Local Business Unit, ensuring all global calendar and reporting requirements are met.
• Monitor Working Capital Requirements (WCR) regarding inventory, payables, and receivables, alongside cost analysis and reporting to assist management stewardship of operating expenses.
• Lead, coordinate and build Budget & LTP forecasts based on strategic and commercial assumptions, while reviewing commercial inputs such as products, regions, profitability, and costs.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Commercial, Middle-Office, and the Finance Manager on reporting business profitability, accounting, statutory, audit, and tax-related matters.
• Review open, settlement, and unwinding paper positions for accounting and reporting purposes, including profitability, strategy, and risk assessment of derivative instruments executed by the Commercial team.
• Ensure strict reconciliation between the internal trading software (Medissys) and the core accounting system (SAP).
• Handle queries from external auditors on business performances, profitability, and going-concern assessments, while collaborating on relevant external reporting requirements.
• Support management by preparing presentation slides covering key financial and commercial decisions.
• Regularly review health, safety, and ergonomics protocols, and participate in observation submissions to maintain corporate safety awareness.

The role focuses on financial controlling, performance reporting, budget construction, and financial analysis within a newly established Business Unit.
This position offers the opportunity to act as a primary finance partner, collaborating closely with international management teams and local accounting managers to ensure accurate financial steering.
Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial controlling, management accounting, or finance analyst roles.
• Strong knowledge of finance concepts and derivative instruments.
• Proven hands-on experience and proficiency in SAP ; familiarity with internal trading software (Medissys) is considered an asset.
• Highly analytical and meticulous, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Team player, mature, independent, pro-active, with the ability to take initiative and adapt easily to foreign cultures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities for daily interaction within a worldwide organization.
• Fluency in English (advanced level) is mandatory; knowledge of French is considered a plus.
