Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial planning, and regulatory compliance. The Controller will prepare financial forecasts and budgets, manage internal controls, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.

The role requires strong, hands-on expertise in IAS and IFRS, as well as solid knowledge of local GAAP. In addition, the Controller will manage bank relationships, bring fresh expertise, and actively support the organization’s upcoming projects and growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Financial reporting and analysis

• Preparing and presenting financial statements, forecasts, and budgets; analysing performance against budgets and forecasts.

Oversight of accounting operations

• Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting processes, managing monthly closing, and coordinating with auditors.
• Financial control for major CAPEX projects.
• Internal controls - Establishing and maintaining systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.

Strategic support

• Translating financial data into meaningful reports and insights to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis of projects as needed to support business decision-making
• Process improvement:
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, often through standardization and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, ensuring accurate financial reporting

Requirements:

• An academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required
• 3-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, audit, or a related field, is required
• English language proficiency is required
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for data processing and analysis
• Self-driven and result-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
• Capable of working independently and facing unexpected situations and new challenges
• The person should be open, honest, reliable, accurate and passionate about the job at hand
• Good interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• High level of energy, drive, and enthusiasm
