Manpower Romania is currently looking for a Financial Controller in Bistrita for one of its clients an international manufacturer of advanced composite materials, serving the automotive and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a high-performance manufacturing plant, with a strong focus on cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance. This is a strategic role with direct impact on operational efficiency and business results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Monitor production costs, inventory, and capital expenditures
• Manage and improve cost accounting and variance analysis
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to drive cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with Romanian regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies
• Prepare financial reports and support audits and statutory filings
• Lead and develop the local finance team

Profile we are looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and IFRS
• Experience with ERP systems (EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong business partnering capabilities
• Fluent in Romanian and English
