Adecco is looking for one of its clients, a leading digital platform for services and payments, for a Financial Controller based in Bucharest.You will be responsible for:Supporting month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accrual calculations, intercompany reconciliations, recharge calculations, and IFRS adjustments.Managing and monitoring the business recharging scheme.Partnering closely with business stakeholders and management teams to understand operational and financial needs.Participating in cross-functional and interdepartmental projects.Ensuring timely and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.Performing analyses between statutory and group reporting figures.Monitoring Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.Identifying variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets and providing relevant explanations.Delivering monthly financial reporting and management reporting activities.Developing financial controls, procedures, and process documentation to strengthen internal governance.Managing finance-related procedures and ensuring their effective implementation.Ensuring compliance with Romanian fiscal and accounting regulations.Proactively identifying risks and opportunities and contributing to operational issue resolution.Preparing ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management.Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Finance Controlling position, combined with a solid accounting background.Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.Good knowledge of VAT regulations, taxation, and statutory reporting obligations.Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring.Proactive, dynamic, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Fluent English is mandatory.Experience with financial reporting applications (e.g., Hyperion Financial Management) is considered an advantage.CECCAR and/or ACCA certification represents a strong advantage.
