At RetuRO, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team and play a key role in driving financial performance, business insights, and cost optimization across the organization.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business and operations teams, supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance monitoring.

What you'll do

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and analyze variances.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Prepare liquidity and cash flow forecasts and identify improvement opportunities.

Cost Control & Business Performance

• Monitor and optimize cost management in collaboration with business and operations teams.
• Conduct in-depth revenue and cost analyses.
• Develop and monitor operational and financial KPIs across the organization.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial information.

Financial Governance & Compliance

• Review accounting operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
• Analyze third-party contracts and monitor compliance with financial obligations and covenants.
• Support external audits and collaborate with auditors and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements, including specific DRS regulations.

Process Improvement

• Develop and enhance financial reporting systems and processes.
• Review and document business processes to strengthen internal controls.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial and management reporting.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Controller, Financial Analyst, FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or Audit role.
• ACCA certification represents an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Romanian GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with financial and reporting tools such as Anaplan, OneStream, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered a plus.
• Fluent English.
