We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist – Sea Freight to join our team.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, open-minded and a true team player, eager to build a long-term career in the shipping industry. This role requires a solid understanding of sea freight operations and a strong focus on building and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on sea freight operations;
- Good understanding of international trade rules and Incoterms;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time-sensitive deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, understand and communicate clearly and effectively;
- Strong customer-service mindset and a genuine desire to deliver high-quality service;
- Ability and willingness to understand end-to-end departmental processes and continuously look for efficiency improvements;
- Proactive, positive and solution-oriented attitude;
- Excellent English and Romanian skills, both written and spoken;
- Ukrainian or Russian language skills represent an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure smooth and timely sea freight shipment processing from booking to final delivery;
- Review shipment documentation for accuracy and perform data entry in the company’s operating system;
- Track and trace shipments and proactively update clients on shipment status;
- Prepare, handle and process shipping documentation, including House and Master Bills of Lading, commercial documents and customs/regulatory documentation for imports and exports;
- Ensure that customers’ Standard Operating Procedures are followed and kept up to date;
- Coordinate and ensure timely movement and delivery of sea freight shipments;
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external emails and requests;
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, worldwide agents/partners and internal teams;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements and applicable regulations at all times;
- Register vendor invoices in the system and ensure accurate and timely client billing.
