Requirements
Objective of the role
The primary objective of the General Ledger Accountant is to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial reporting for Ayvens Denmark, characterised by meticulous attention to detail, high accuracy, and timely submissions.
This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial data by ensuring that all related financial controls, including reconciliations and supporting analyses, effectively justify the reported numbers.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: min 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally within a financial services environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements related to reporting and taxation.
Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work effectively with remote colleagues, fostering communication and teamwork across distances.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial systems (Miles and SUN) and advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SAP BPC & Power BI is an advantage.
Process Improvement Mindset: Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose changes that enhance processes, including automation opportunities.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail in financial reporting and compliance tasks.
Organisational Skills: High level of structure and organisation, enabling effective management of multiple tasks and adherence to deadlines.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to assess complex financial data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn from colleagues and adapt to new technologies and processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to improvement.
Problem-Solving: Practical problem-solving skills to address issues and implement best practices effectively.
Responsibilities
Areas of responsibilities
Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger
Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents
Supporting the Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
Timely and Accurate Reporting: Ensure the preparation and submission of financial reports in full compliance with the Ayvens Group Accounting & Reporting Manual, maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.
Execution of Internal Controls: Design and execute internal controls to safeguard financial integrity, including the development and implementation of action plans to address any identified areas for improvement.
Handling SG-Related Tax Reporting: Manage all Societe Generale (SG)-related reporting concerning taxes through the My Tax Platform, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy in tax submissions.
Audit Support: Contribute to the preparation of materials and documentation required for internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial records are readily available and compliant with audit standards.
L2C Finance Support: Engage in L2C Finance missions by providing necessary financial insights and support to optimise financial processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Address various ad hoc requests and tasks as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
