About the job

We’re looking for a passionate 2D/3D Generalist Artist with experience in Graphic Design, 2D/3D art and modelling, and animation.

The role is ideal for a strong mid-level or senior artist who values creative ownership, enjoys problem-solving, and loves games.

As the sole artist in a small, agile team, you’ll help define and execute the game’s visual style for a new mobile title. We are transitioning to a hybrid 2D/3D approach, and we need an experienced artist who is comfortable owning the pipeline from concept to final implementation.

Responsibilities

• Define the Art Direction: Work closely with our team to establish, own, and maintain the visual coherence and art style of the game;
• Own the entire art pipeline: Create art from scratch to final version, while adhering to a specific art style;
• Asset Creation: Create a wide variety of high-quality 2D illustrations, low-poly 3D models, and VFX art for the game;
• Optimise: Create or adjust textures for 3D models, implement and optimise 2D and 3D art, as well as building, lighting, and optimising scenes in Unity;
• Animation: Create and implement 2D/3D animations using your preferred tools;
• Collaboration: Work closely and iteratively with our agile team to identify the best solutions.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Spine, After Effects or other similar tools.
• Technical skills: The ideal candidate should be a generalist, with experience in 2D Illustration, 3D Modelling, UV mapping, texturing, asset optimisation and animation;
• Unity Integration: You will be working directly within Unity; therefore, a strong command of Unity’s interface and the ability to navigate its scene-building and implementation tools are required; 
• Soft Skills: Great attention to detail, highly proactive, self-organised, and comfortable in fast-paced environments with frequent iterations;
• AI Usage: Experience using AI tools (for 2D/3D assets or animations) to quickly explore concepts or generate/customise production assets;
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio with examples of your previous work;
• Language: Romanian, but must be fluent in English also.

Please include a portfolio of at least five artwork samples as a mandatory part of your application.

Not submitting a portfolio will result in ineligibility for further consideration in the recruitment process.

Additionally, completing a technical challenge will also be mandatory.
