The ideal candidate, for the Graphic Designer and Video Editor position, is a highly organised self-starter who is capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and the implementation of marketing projects. You will need to display versatility in order to handle ad-hoc projects as assigned. 

Responsibilities

Conceptualisation: developing creative concepts and visual ideas for various design projects.

Design Development: creating visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including logos, brochures, banners, social media graphics, outdoor banners and more.

Brand Identity: contributing to the development and maintenance of brand identities through consistent and impactful design elements.

Layout and Composition: designing layouts and compositions for print and digital materials, ensuring a balanced and aesthetically pleasing presentation.

Typography: selecting and incorporating appropriate fonts and typography to enhance the visual appeal and readability of designs.

Image Editing: manipulating and editing images to fit design specifications, including color correction, cropping, and retouching.

Video Editing: manipulating and editing videos to fit design specifications, including color correction, cropping, adding and retouching. Post-production videos is a plus and will be appreciated.

Software Proficiency: proficiently using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant tools.

Print Production: preparing and ensuring print-ready files, understanding printing processes, and collaborating with print vendors.

Web Design Elements: creating graphics and visual elements for websites, user interfaces, and online platforms.

Responsive Design: implementing responsive design principles for digital assets to ensure compatibility across various devices.

Deadline Management: managing multiple design projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines for project deliverables.

Quality Control: conducting thorough quality checks on final designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.

Presentation Skills: effectively presenting and communicating design concepts to clients and team members.

Creative Problem Solving and Feedback:

• Using creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and find innovative solutions
• Actively seeking and incorporating constructive feedback to refine and improve design concepts
• Undertake ad-hoc marketing projects

Interaction and Communication Skills:

• Engaging with clients to understand their vision, incorporating feedback, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the design process.
• Collaborating with clients, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and project objectives.

Stay Updated:

• Keeping up-to-date with design trends, software updates, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is often preferred. However, some designers may have equivalent experience or specialized training.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects that demonstrate creativity, technical skills, and a range of styles.
• Proficient in using industry-standard graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant tools.
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities to develop visually appealing and effective design solutions. And understanding and application of color theory to create designs that are visually harmonious and convey the desired message.
• Knowledge of typography principles and layout design to create well-balanced and visually pleasing compositions. Understanding of print production processes, including knowledge of file formats, resolution, and color modes.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in design elements, spacing, and alignment.
• Effective communication skills to understand client requirements, present design concepts, and collaborate with team. Ability to interact with clients, understand their vision, and incorporate feedback into the design process.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Creative problem-solving abilities to overcome design challenges and find innovative solutions. Flexibility to adapt to changing design trends, client preferences, and project requirements.
• Demonstrating a professional and client-focused approach in all aspects of design work.
