Oversees all financial operations, ensuring compliance with local Romanian Accounting Standards (RAS), tax legislation, and IFRS. Key responsibilities include leading the accounting team, managing month-end/year-end closings, tax reporting, and internal controls. Roles typically require 5–8+ years of experience, CECCAR certification, and strong ERP skills (e.g., CHARISMA, SAP). 

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the accounting team, organizing professional training.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts and timely submission of tax declarations and statutory financial statements in compliance with Romanian law. Ensure that the processes related to the company’s group reporting are properly managed.
• Closing & Controls: Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring internal controls are effective.
• Financial Oversight: Manage accounts payable, receivable, and cash disbursements.
• Interaction: Act as the primary contact for external auditors and authorities. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: University degree in Economics/Accounting.
• Certification: CECCAR certification (expert accountant) is often mandatory or strongly preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years in financial accounting, with previous experience in coordinating a team.
• Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards, fiscal regulations, and IFRS.
• Languages: Advanced English (C2 level)
• Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., CHARISMA, SAP). 

Preferred Qualifications

• ACCA qualification (qualified or in progress).
• Experience in professional services or audit firms.
• Preferred experience in accounting departments within international organizations.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach.
