We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Specialist to join a leading international manufacturing company with a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and sustainability.
The role is based fully on-site in Caransebeș and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on workplace safety while supporting future growth plans.
Scope of the Role:

• Train employees and raise awareness on safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with Romanian & EU standards
• Investigate incidents, maintain accurate records, and implement preventive measures
• Act as the main contact point with external authorities when required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a proactive safety culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and communicate safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Deliver safety trainings on hazard awareness, risk prevention, and emergency response
• Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety records, trainings, inspections, and incidents
• Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and embed a safety-first mindset across all departments
• Ensure organizational compliance with evolving Romanian & EU HSE legislation
• Support emergency response planning and implementation
• Collaborate with all departments to identify risks and ensure safe operations

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Residence in or near Caransebeș (Lugoj, Resita, Timisoara, Hateg)
• Strong knowledge of Romanian and EU health & safety regulations
• Proven experience in workplace safety, accident prevention, or HSE audits
• Relevant certification in Occupational Health & Safety (SSM, HSE, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
