Octavic is expanding, and we are not looking for a standard corporate engineer to close tickets. We build modular Industry 4.0 Smart Factory solutions trusted by global multinationals in pharma, automotive, and FMCG (like Philips, Zentiva, and Gedeon Richter).

We operate at the complex intersection of hardware, IT/OT systems, and manufacturing operations. We need an exceptional, High-Agency Electrical or Automation Engineering intern who can write software, integrate automated systems, and confidently support a sales presentation with factory managers. We view this internship as a testing ground to groom future technical leaders and potential Managing Directors.

🧬 The DNA We Are Looking For (Your "Spikes")

Standard job duties do not impress us. We are looking for evidence of exceptionalism and extreme agency. You should have at least one of the following "spikes" on your resume:

• Cognitive Spikes: Medals in National/International Olympiads (Math, Physics, Informatics) or top-tier Hackathon wins.
• The Builder's Drive: You don’t just do coursework. You’ve attempted to start your own business (even if it failed!), led an open-source library, or built hardcore side projects entirely out of your own curiosity.
• The Scrappy Freelancer: You’ve done freelance work where you had to find your own clients, negotiate scope (Pre-Sales), and deliver the technical solution end-to-end.

💼 What You Will Actually Do

You will bridge the gap between our core technical product and our clients' business realities:

• Software & Hardware Integration: Write scripts (Python, Node.js, or C++) to bridge legacy hardware/PLCs with our modern IIoT cloud architecture and AI Data Assistant.
• Sales Engineering & Project Management: Support our team in mapping out client architectures. You will help translate complex hardware limitations into clear business value and assist in managing the deployment timeline.
• Data-Driven ROI: Calculate efficiency gains and build business cases for the sales team using hard metrics.
• Total Ownership: If you see an inefficient client integration process, you don't wait for permission. You proactively build an internal tool to automate it.

🎓 Prerequisites

• Currently in your last year of an Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related degree.
• Strong foundational understanding of factory environments, industrial protocols, and hardware systems.
• Demonstrable modern software skills (you should have a GitHub with projects that go far beyond standard tutorials).
• Exceptional communication skills (fluent English) to easily pivot between talking low-level tech with developers and high-level ROI with factory executives.

3. The "Agency" Interview: We will probe your resume heavily. Expect behavioral questions in the STAR format, such as: "Tell me about a time you solved a technical bottleneck outside your required duties" and "Explain the hardest side-project you've ever built entirely out of your own curiosity."
