GENERAL INFORMATIONWe are looking HUN_ for a highly skilled HR Systems Specialist to join our team, focusing on Data Protection. In the role of Data Protection Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving data protection initiatives within Group HR.

This position covers governance as well as consultation and enablement, ensuring compliance and empowering teams to manage data responsibly.You will lead and manage projects, maintaining timelines, budget, and quality to exceed sponsor expectations. Additionally, you will work to ensure the economic success of each project and the profitability of our products over their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Protection - Strategy focus
    • Develop a data protection strategy for the global HR organization according to the Binding Corporate Rules, country legal requirements and business requirements considering HR processes, roles & responsibilities as well as systems perspective.
    • Work in close collaboration and cooperation with the corporate data protection office as well as IT and ensure that the corporate data protection processes are considered and implemented within the HR organization.
  • Data Protection - Process Governance
    • Support business process owners with the creation of Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
    • Consult business process owners regarding data processing agreements and third country transfers when working with external providers.
    • If required, support the business process owners with the creation of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
  • Data Protection - System Governance
    • Support the business process owners with the creation of deletion concepts and the respective definition of data retention times.
    • Consult the business process owners regarding the creation of authorization concepts.
    • Provide expertise, guidance and support for HR data models and implementation into systems in close alignment with People Analytics and IT.
  • Project Leadership & Consultation
    • Establish adequate project organization (meeting structure, information/ knowledge exchange, documentation, archiving).
    • Track & report the project progress, define corrective measures if deviating from the plan.
    • Ensure that all project objectives are met in the required quality.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Academic degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a related field.
    • A relevant certification in Data Protection is highly advantageous.
  • Skills & Knowledge
    • Data Protection Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, PIPL and experience with Binding Corporate Rules.
    • Process and System Governance: Experience with data retention policies, deletion concepts, and authorization concepts within HR systems. Strong understanding of Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), and data processing agreements.
    • Project Management: Demonstrated experience leading complex projects within budget, time, and quality requirements, with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
    • Ability to work across different time zones as required to expedite projects.
    • Strong ability to synthesize and present information to involved teams.
    • Proactive, positive, and energetic attitude, even when facing challenges.
  • Language & Communication
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.
    • Confident communicator and impactful presenter, able to maintain audience focus.
    • Strong ability to consult and collaborate with various stakeholders, including corporate data protection offices, IT, and HR business process owners.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex data protection concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
