We are looking for a German-speaking Inside Sales Engineer to join a company in the cybersecurity and data protection sector.In this technical role focused directly on customers and partners, you will collaborate closely with the internal sales team for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Your primary objective is to train, support, and empower distribution partners to position, demonstrate, and technically validate the solutions in the portfolio. ResponsibilitiesTechnical Consulting & Pre-Sales: Identify customer requirements, design optimized storage architectures, and size appropriate solutions.Demonstrations & PoC: Conduct live technical demonstrations and coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) projects directly with customers and distribution partners.Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to technical teams and executive decision-makers (CxO), translating business needs into technical specifications.Sales Acceleration: Participate in opportunity qualification calls and support events, webinars, and presentations within the IT industry. Requirements:Foreign languages: Advanced/fluent German (written and spoken) – mandatory requirement.Technical experience: Background in Sales Engineering, Technical Support (Level 2/3), or R&D within the fields of software, DevOps, data storage, or IT security.Specialized knowledge: Hands-on experience with data protection (backup/disaster recovery), virtualization, and data center architectures. Knowledge of popular backup platforms (such as Veeam) is a major advantage.Communication skills: Ability to conduct high-level technical conversations with diverse stakeholders (ranging from engineers to executives).Proactive attitude: Ability to manage multiple calls and opportunities daily in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
