Position Overview
The internship aims to provide practical insights into operational procurement, supplier coordination, and internal stakeholder support within a structured category organization. The intern will work closely with experienced buyers and the Category Leader to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes, compliance, and best practices, while developing skills for a future career in procurement or supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the operational procurement team with daily purchasing and procurement activities.
• Assist in processing purchase requests, orders, and tracking deliveries.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Aid the Category Leader and Operational Buyers in reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations and delivery tracking.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives within operational procurement.
  

Qualifications
Education:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or related fields.
  

Skills:

• Strong interest in procurement, supply chain management, and operational processes.
• Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  

Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  

Languages:

• Fluent German (mandatory) and English; additional language skills are a plus for international procurement tasks.
  

Team Collaboration
The intern will collaborate effectively with the Operational Buyer team and cross-functional teams. While leadership skills are not required initially, the role emphasizes teamwork and proactive engagement.
