THE ROLE INVOLVES:

As an IT Asset & Configuration Manager, you are part of the IT Control & Service Management Centre of Excellence, contributing to the maturity and evolution of IT Asset Management and Configuration Management practices.

You own and continuously improve the IT Asset Management lifecycle and CMDB / CSDM alignment, ensuring data quality, governance, and transparency across services and assets.

The role is positioned in a mature but evolving environment, where you drive standardization, automation, and data-driven decision-making.

You also act as backup for Change Management, ensuring continuity across ITSM processes.

Responsibilities:

Core (IT Asset & Configuration Management)

• Own and improve IT Asset Management and Configuration Management processes.

• Ensure CMDB accuracy, completeness, and governance across services and assets.

• Drive CSDM implementation and alignment across the organization.

• Define and maintain asset lifecycle standards, policies, and controls.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and audit readiness for CMDB and IT assets.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define service models, ownership, and dependencies.

Process & Governance

• Establish and maintain governance frameworks for service portfolio and asset data.

• Define reporting models linking asset/CI health to service impact and decision-making.

• Support audit and compliance activities related to ITAM and CMDB.

• Align CMDB and ITAM practices with enterprise architecture and business capabilities.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Drive automation of CMDB and asset processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.

• Improve data quality, completeness, and service ownership coverage.

• Contribute to process maturity uplift and standardization initiatives.

• Support development of dashboards and reporting for service health and performance insights.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Service Owners, and IT teams.

• Facilitate workshops to define service definitions, ownership, and lifecycle responsibilities.

• Provide consulting input on roadmaps, dependencies, and risks.

Additional Scope

• Provide backup support for Change Management processes.

• Contribute to ServiceNow roadmap and backlog prioritization for ITAM/CMDB.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management / Configuration Management

• Strong experience with ServiceNow (CMDB, ITAM, CSDM)

• Proven experience implementing CSDM models and CMDB improvements

• Solid background in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes

• Experience with:

  • CMDB governance and maturity models

  • Service modelling and service portfolio management

  • ITOM / discovery / service mapping integrations

• Strong understanding of data governance and reporting frameworks

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with automation workflows and process optimization

• Exposure to enterprise architecture alignment (e.g., capability models, LeanIX)

• Certifications (ITIL, ServiceNow, CSAM or similar)

• Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

SOFT SKILLS:

• Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong understanding of CMDB and Asset Management principles

• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills (across technical and non-technical stakeholders)
