IT Cloud and Backend Solution Architect in Romania.
We are seeking an experienced IT Cloud and Backend Solution Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role involves leading cloud initiatives, automating deployments, ensuring security compliance, and optimizing system performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with project objectives and business goals, providing guidance on cloud governance, DevOps practices, and hybrid architecture strategies. Operating in a remote-friendly, international environment, this position offers the opportunity to influence the technical direction of critical systems while mentoring junior engineers and driving innovation across multiple platforms.

• Accountabilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient on-premises and cloud infrastructure on Azure and Google Cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate complex deployments, monitoring, and security operations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Lead initiatives to improve system performance, availability, scalability, and security across services.
• Serve as the expert for hybrid environments, implementing best practices for networking, security, and cloud governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with project objectives and use case roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on automation strategies, DevOps best practices, and infrastructure improvements.
• Requirements:
• At least 6 years of experience defining IT architecture, governance, and security.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud, on-premises architecture, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines based on Azure DevOps and GIT (minimum 3 years).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (minimum 3 years).
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and application monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical direction across teams.
• Collaborative and mentoring mindset with the ability to guide junior engineers.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Relevant IT or service management certifications and a degree in a related field are preferred.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to travel occasionally to Germany.
